Erin DeChellis, a native of State College, Pennsylvania joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services staff in August 2013 as an intern. She joined the staff full time as the advisor for the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving programs in May 2014. She was promoted to Senior Academic Advisor in August 2016.

Erin attended Penn State from 2007 to 2012 and earned her bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies. During her senior year at Penn State she served as an intern for the Morgan Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes. Erin then went to East Tennessee State University to receive her Master's Degree in Higher Education Counseling. There she served as a Graduate Assistant at the Bill G.Humphreys Center for Student-Athletes and worked with Golf, Track and Field, Tennis, Soccer, and Softball.
