Megan Kassmeier joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services staff in May of 2017 as an intern.  

Prior to joining the FSU SAAS staff, Kassmeier was an Intern for the University of South Dakota Student-Athlete Success Center. While there, she worked with freshman or sophomores in soccer, softball, track and field, and swimming and diving. She assisted athletes by developing skills in time management, organizational methods, and grade updates. In addition to facilitating a Psychology 101 study group for freshmen football, she presented in a College 101 course for freshmen Student-Athletes, supervised study halls, and coordinated the Student-Athlete Graduation Reception.

While also gaining her graduate degree, she served dual roles at the University of South Dakota and was also a graduate assistant for Student Activities. In her position as the Parent and Family Programming Specialist, she planned and implemented Family Weekend, Parent Newsletter, and other student-centered programs.

Kassmeier is passionate about guiding student-athletes along their academic and personal journey from young adult to adult. She is also dedicated to creating a positive college experience for the athletes. She plans to seek additional professional development through research and publications specify in advising.

She is a native of Papillion, Nebraska.
