Charlie Hogan joined the Florida State Athletic Department in 2012. He holds a leadership role in Student-Athlete Academic Services, where his administrative duties include overseeing athletic academic advisors, facilitating the admissions process for all student-athletes, coordinating the NCAA certification process in conjunction with the Registrar and Athletic Compliance offices, executing the class checking program, and coordinating the degree completion program for former student-athletes. Hogan provides counseling and guidance to student-athletes regarding academic development, monitors eligibility, provides advisement, and assists in recruiting prospective student-athletes. Prior to coming to Florida State, Hogan worked at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of Wyoming, and Louisiana Tech University. During his career, he has served as an academic advisor for thirteen different sports. Hogan worked six years in Monroe, Louisiana's sports talk radio market. He worked as a play-by-play talent for collegiate and high school football, basketball, and baseball broadcasts there. Hogan also was an on-air producer for the Louisiana Tech, LSU, and Grambling State radio networks. Hogan is a two-time Louisiana Tech University graduate, earning a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and a master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. He earned additional graduate degrees from Florida State in Business Administration and Sport Management. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Learning Design and Performance Technology. Hogan serves as an adjunct instructor at Florida State. Hogan is an active member of the National Association of Athletic Advisors (N4A). A native of Choudrant, Louisiana, Hogan and his wife Jennifer have three children: Ethan, Everly, and Liam.
