Kayla joined the Florida State University family after completing her graduate studies at the University of Cincinnati, where she served as a Graduate and Teaching Assistant in the Sport Administration program. In this role, she assisted faculty members with grading, attendance, research projects, and academic support for more than 200 students while maintaining a full graduate course load.

Prior to attending Cincinnati, Kayla was a member of the dance team at Upper Iowa University and received numerous honors throughout her collegiate career, including Veteran Dancer of the Year, Dance Team Captain, a Miss Peacock nomination, and a Female Scholar-Athlete nomination. She was also a three-time President’s Team recipient and an active member of SAAC.

Originally from Guttenberg, Iowa, Kayla was heavily involved in athletics and the fine arts throughout high school, participating in eight different sports while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

In addition to her academic and professional experience, Kayla has worked as a professional arena football dancer and bartender while balancing graduate school and multiple professional commitments. She is excited to continue supporting and learning alongside student-athletes at Florida State University.
