Laura Sanderson joined Florida State University in May 2025 as a Student-Athlete Academic Success Fellow.
Laura was born and raised in Yuma, a small town in the deserts of Arizona. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychological Sciences with a minor in Biology from Northern Arizona University. While at NAU, she interned with both the strength and conditioning staff and the nutrition staff in the athletic department.
After graduating from NAU, Laura worked in health care as a mental health technician and a physical therapy technician. In 2023, she was accepted into Florida State University's sport psychology master's program and has since completed her degree. While in school during my master's degree, she worked as a student-athlete mentor for the FSU SAAS department. Outside of FSU, she coaches beach volleyball at the high school level.
