Maggie Fleming joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services Staff in May 2019 as an intern. She joined the staff full time in August 2020.

 

Prior to Florida State University, she received her master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Seton Hall University, located in South Orange New Jersey (2017-2019). Maggie served as a graduate assistant for the department of Academic Support Services for Student-Athletes. She worked one on one with freshmen and “at-risk” student-athletes from various teams, including baseball, softball, swimming and diving, soccer, women’s golf, women’s basketball, volleyball, cross country and women's tennis. Her duties included counseling student-athletes regarding time management, study skills as well as coordinating student-athlete meetings with necessary tutors based on availability. She also served as a teaching assistant for the freshman student-athlete University of Life course.

 

At Stony Brook University, Fleming graduated with a B.S in Health Science with a concentration in Healthcare Management in 2017. Fleming was a member of the Seawolves women’s lacrosse as well as the track and field team. In addition to being a student-athlete, Fleming served as the Student-Athlete Engagement Intern for the newly developed Student-Athlete Development and Life Skills program, where she assisted with community service, events and social media outlets.

 

Fleming is a native of Massapequa, Long Island.
